Real-time at Swiggy Scale
Build and maintain the streaming data infrastructure — Kafka ingestion, Flink stream processing, and BigQuery analytics — enabling real-time delivery ETA, surge pricing, and restaurant ranking systems.
- Build Kafka producers/consumers and Flink streaming jobs for real-time event processing
- Develop batch pipelines with PySpark and dbt transformations on BigQuery
- Orchestrate workflows with Airflow and maintain pipeline SLAs
- Implement data quality checks and alerting for critical data streams
- Collaborate with ML engineers on feature engineering pipelines
Requirements
3–7 years data engineering. Strong Kafka, Spark, and Python. Real-time streaming frameworks (Flink or Spark Streaming). BigQuery or Snowflake experience.
